Blasphemy; the extended Two Towers is a far smoother and better-paced film than what we got in the theaters. Character motivations (Faramir and Eowyn in particular) are fleshed out, arcs get actual resolution at the end, and everything is just paced more naturally. My only real issue with it is that we get a 15-20

I loved the shit out of UHF as a kid. It's on Netflix now, so I watched it on a whim late at night and was surprised that I was laughing just as much as I did before, but at completely different jokes. The big broad genre parodies don't work like they used to but there's a shitload of great smaller jokes.

My big problem with Better Off Dead is that it's a hilarious, surrealist take on teen movie cliches for 2/3, and then the last act is nothing but cliches delivered with a completely straight face.

I must have been 6 or 7, and haven't seen either episode since, but I had a similar response. The Citizen Kane one especially really haunted me at the time.

I've also seen a bunch of bus ads in Philadelphia for a Justin M. Bieber, Defense Attorney. Poor guy.

Can we please drop the whole lazy "everything I don't like in these movies is because of Lucas" thing? They were 50-50 collaborators on every film. Plus it was Lucas who wanted to go dark and violent with Temple of Doom, and Spielberg who decided that screechy "women be crazy" humor and old-timey racial stereotypes

I've always said that if you can listen to the climax of Dear Prudence and walk away thinking Ringo is a mediocre drummer, you should give up listening to music.
