If everything is the will of God isn’t abortion also the will of God?

As a Canadian watching from afar, I still don’t understand why people are bringing religion into this. The US is where people say “separation of church and state”, right? That’s a thing you supposedly have? Am I taking crazy pills?

I’m currently growing my first citrus tree. Just moved to AZ from the Northeast, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. I’ve been staring everyday at the buds I just started getting. If someone were to take something off that if/when it bears fruit, well, I’d damn near kill them

Here in Colorado, fruit trees are much less common. That said, I have two pear and one plum tree in my front yard and they provide a small yield each year.

Citrus grower here. It really comes down to how productive the plant is; a massive calamondin tree with hundreds of fruit should be ripe for anyone’s picking (heh, heh) and you’re a complete asshole if you have one out front and give anyone shit for grabbing a few. Ditto if you have, like we do, a pair of massive

Born and raised Californian. Your citrus is my citrus, within reason. And if you have an avocado tree, I’m moving into your home and displacing your children.

I agree 100%. Just substitute “unattended bicycles” for “citrus” and I’m exactly the same way.

As the resident Kansan in the room...I apologize to the nation on behalf of my stupid, ass backward state. We never learn from our mistakes, and will continue to fuck the rest of you over. Again I apologize.

Hoenstly, sometimes I really question Democrats and how they phrase speak about things. Schumer should be screaming this. Schumer should be screaming about how the ACA allowed people to pursue their dream to open small businesses. He should hold news conferences with these people. Have they learned NOTHINGGG????

Seriously. Why the fuck do I have to pay for his testicular cancer screenings? Why do I have to pay for anything that doesn’t affect me directly? I pave my own roads and teach my own schools and put out my own fires too! I AM AN ISLAND AND MY ISLAND HAS NO MAN-PARTS.

If you wanted to go to law school with a kid, you should have been born a man like God intended.

I’ve talked here before about having my son in my first semester of law school.

All I can figure is people wish it ended “Regarding the money I made on the deal — I am distributing it equally among everyone at Us Weekly, please check your direct deposits, and bring any questions or concerns to Earlene in finance.”

Also, emails of this nature have to be pretty vague, neutral and weak so that the company/people avoid any legal problems from saying too much or too little.

Word. My company did several rounds of layoffs last year—we must’ve gotten more than 10 emails like this.

If you have worked at a medium or large company for more than 6 minutes, you learn you can’t waste energy getting upset everytime senior leadership tries to frame a decision that can harm employees in a positive way.

Absolutely. I worked for an international company - the CEO personally came to our offices for a town hall, praised our accomplishments and said it was all good and “business as usual”. The next week we received an email that the company had been sold and everyone was pretty much done.

I don’t really follow as this is literally boilerplate stuff. This is the same e-mail you will see anywhere that has a merger, sells off a division, etc. The only way this could be more generic is if it was sent without filling in any of the blanks.

I read the links just to be sure I didn’t miss anything and all I found was this:

Yeah I work for a much smaller company than this, and I get an email in this style at least once a week from the execs.
