Yes, because that is what I’m saying. I’m saying white women bear no accountability in American racism.

For me, when I’m making the transition from dating to serious relationship there is an STD test before going condom-less. But before that move, yes condoms every time. But I can only speak for myself.
This ongoing shookus jokes seems mean-spirited. Maybe Jez should stop making fun of someone for her name?
Slut Panic is just a racist troll.
I was asking a serious question and I still haven’t gotten a serious answer. As I have posted EVERYWHERE including my original comment, I do believe there is an issue with POC representation. In fact, I think EVERYONE agrees with that. But in this instance was the actual white woman who wrote the story of her own…
Yes, the white woman who in real life married a brown muslim man and fought for her relationship in hollywood is an oppressor. And all white actresses too are oppressors. Good luck with your life. Should be easy for you with that belief.
I think people including the poster you mentioned and this author are overreacting to a movie.
No we must be purists. /s
According to Clover Hope’s interview with Emily Gordon, the answer is yes. Check out Jez’s interview. Totally obnoxious.
I never said they don’t. I’m saying that applying it to Kumail and Emily specifically is not only amoral, but it makes the case against interracial/interfaith relationships in a way that is not dissimilar from the far right.
Again, you haven’t answered any of my questions.
I’m not denying any privilege or racism by anyone. I’ve just continually asked the question about if asian and white women should not take roles where the lead is not asian. You, nor anyone else, has provided me with an answer.
I would love to know if any on-the-record statements exist from this man about the access hollywood tapes.
Personally I find asian men attractive. I know what you mean though. I said this at girls night a few weeks ago and my female asian friends did try to negate me. That the asian men I find attractive must have had surgery, etc. (which is not true - they did not know that one of my exes is 1/2 asian.)
I’m glad they didn’t just cling together out of grief. She’s still so young. No need to settle on 1 person at that age ...or ever, but especially while grieving so young :)
Your answer did not enlighten me in any new way, I’m sorry to say. I appreciate you calling out racist bullshit when you see it, as do I. That said, this entire conversation still does feel like men of color are being pressured to date within their race or at least a race that isn’t white and that white women are…
No it’s the fact that you were following my comments like a creep and said “still mad?” with the obvious intent continue the conversation that makes you a troll. Later. Back under your bridge with you now.
Stay illiterate I guess? “While it may be based on his real life experience” is the phrase that undoes Hachi’s statement that she is not making a cultural argument which psychologizes Kumail’s relationship. Keep trolling though :)
The entire first season was aimed at the tv/film industry for having token POCs. I don’t see how everyone is shitting on this show. I can only shit on it because this really privileged obnoxious girl who was in my sorority had a cameo this season.
Wow. I just read it. It’s like they can’t keep but making her the villain because Kumail did not marry a person of color. Jesus Christ. Like I’m as left as left can get, and I truly do not think there is racism against white people. I also don’t get why white people don’t understand white privilege is not a concept…
