Did you just try to compare 1000+ NM of torque to 140hp?

You most likely do not drive on european mountain roads ... does that prove anything? People here just rent a big semi if they need that kind of haulage. I get it, though. You want to drive the biggest, baddest truck around.

Don't get me started on the GTI. It's just a faster golf. People just throw the term sports car around like it's nothing. I'm sorry, it's not a sports car. It would've been one twenty years ago, but things have moved on. I think it has the POTENTIAL to be a great sports car. I recognize the fact that it has a

You're making it sound as if you'd require crawler gearing to make it pull anything. You could gear it for 60 mph in "haul" mode and still pull hard enough to bend the frame.

Palm approaching forehead.

I think they'll make one. That's probably part of the deal subaru has with toyota. Subaru is only allowed to sell just a few BRZs for a lot of GT86/scionthingies IIRC.

There's no need for 1000+ NM of torque. Half of it with the correct gearing will pull anything out of/over/through anything.

It was in the day of 40hp cars. Now it's just a toy.

No, it's not a sports car because it doesn't actually perform.

Nineteenhundredverylongago. Cars like this were made because of high taxes. It also weighs nearly half of the BRZ.

1036 NM of torque. Really ... someone needs this? That's semi truck territory. You'd be better off buying a tractor trailer.

Merkuh!

Anyone saying it's got enough power wasn't actually looking for a sports car ...

I respectfully disagree. It's fun to drive, sure, but it's no sports car. It's too slow for that.

Well put. I own an opel speedster (basically a lotus elise) NA. 150 ish hp, 850-ish kg (curb weight, not dry weight). Still too slow, supercharging it as we speak. 280-300 HP and over double the torque sounds a bit more appealing to me. No, it won't ruin the car, it'll only make it better.

It's a good base for modifications. It's worth driving as is, but i wouldn't go as far as to say it's a true sports car.

I understand what you're saying, but the BRZ is still about 40-50 horses short of achieving that goal. The fact that it sounds bland isn't helping either.

The BRZ needs more power. People keep on denying it, but they secretly lust after a super/turbocharged one anyway.

Probably not a popular opinion on here, but ... damn ... that thing is ugly.

The dike should've been higher.
