Us Introverts sure do love to talk about what we know, eh? I’m super chatty when it comes to beer, running, music, and politics. But if someone asks me how I’m doing, my brain shuts down. 

I am not so cynical to believe that these are plant employees that were specifically chosen because they had nice, flowery things to say about working there. As other folks said here, I don’t doubt that there are people who enjoy working there, and not everyone is being forced to work a ton of hours.

I lived just outside of NYC for most of my life (southern westchester county, my town of New Rochelle literally borders The Bronx), and found myself, a dark skinned hispanic, treated like a second class citizen in my fairly diverse neighborhood, or any quiet neighborhood in the surrounding area. I can attest, as a victim of childhood sexual abuse, that while it ruined my ability to trust people and confide in other people, and definitely contributed to a lot of anger in my life, it didn't rob me of empathy.
