Even if someone buys a more expensive ship if they dont have the skill and the crew to man it they're basically a fat flying target. I've seen people take down $100 ships in AC using the $20-$30 ones. It's not as P2W as you think it is.

Did you seriously went into a Civ article without knowing anything about Civ? In the first Civ Ghandi was suppose to be a civ with low aggression rating but a bug caused it to go the other way around making him the most aggressive Civ ingame.
