New? Maybe to AN, or America?
Come now, replacing your bumper with salvage from a different color car doesn’t count!
A couple of current cars
If two-tone is making a comeback in the name of “less boring,” they need to use some actual colour with an actual two-tone. A white or black roof over beige, silver, grey, or dark red is still pretty lame and boring.
I don’t think modern car design has earned the right to two-tone. I love two-tone, but it’s the kind of thing that asks for bold, distinctive design. Something that most car makers avoid nowadays. I hope they don’t start desecrating faux-wood paneling next.
Good. Time for more interesting car paint.
Pffft.... two tone is weak sauce.
See, another example of doing it right. Follow the lines of the bodywork.
I miss my old Chevy pickup. Same color scheme as this pic, sans the rack behind the back window. I really liked the triple layer effect of this two tone layout!
I knew my RX7 would be trending again some day!! Yeah me!
The more I look at it, the more I really like the Velar, and I’m not an SUV kinda guy. Unless it’s a G-Wagen. Speaking of...
All the negative stuff about Amazon is how they treat their employees, and perhaps the economic ramifications of pushing out smaller, physical retailers.
They sent me a second, somewhat expensive, pan when the delivery date for the original order was pushed back to a week after the guaranteed prime date. The guy who sent out the replacement told me to keep them both if the original one ever showed up. Definitely bent over backwards to make that one right.
Ya I’ve noticed that too, Prime Membership is key. They treat Prime Members like kings.
I’ve been using Amazon Fresh for groceries since soon after they started the service, and you get a lot of Easter eggs with that — two items when you only ordered one, a random item you didn’t order, etc. Makes me less likely to complain when they do dumb things like packing eggs improperly so a couple get cracked.
And the thing is, Amazon has a solution to that problem: You can have your package delivered to a safe location, e.g. the nearest post office, just by checking a box during checkout. It’s kind of weird that they don’t encourage that more strongly. Heck, I’d require it.
Another result of Amazon’s generous replacement policy, at least in my city, has been all the delivery companies adopting a “don’t give a shit” attitude about packages being stolen. USPS, OnTrac and UPS just leave boxes on your door out in the open for passersby. Amazon will replace it, not our problem. So of course…
Amazon definitely has no qualms about refunding or replacing just about anything for any reason, especially if you’re a Prime member. There have been lots of times I’ve wanted to return something that cost less than $10 and they just refund it and say keep the item because the return shipping makes it not worth it for…
Amazon can be pretty chill about their actual mistakes. They once sent me a much more expensive version of an item than the one I ordered. They said it was their mistake, and to just keep it. I held onto the transcript of the chat with Amazon support, just in case!
