The day my Netscape Navigator 2.0 stops working is the day you pry it from my cold, dead hands...
On Chrome? Your IT department is dumb. Chrome is one of the few programs out there that we love because it auto-updates itself regardless of user rights level... they are manually disabling your ability to update it through a group policy, and I’d love to know the logic behind that.
My brother-in-law and his wife are reeeeally into Hillsong. Their lives revolve around it. Feels very cult-ish.
If you believe being gay is wrong because of Leviticus you also better be keeping kosher and have no tattoos. Wouldn’t want to be a hypocrite, after all.
Yeah, it’s bizarre that the culture war isn’t over when there’s only a measly hundred million people opposed to something.
The scotus as itis now probably wouldn’t recognize us as equal humans. And I love how atheists and Christians alike bring up Leviticus as the issue- Us Jews have more liberal stances towards gay people than those who identify as “nones” on polls. It’s almost as if nobody else has gotten over it but us- and it’s our…
Glad Page is speaking out about this.
What’s interesting to me about this is that Hillsong Church, as a Protestant denomination, has been getting criticized for decades for a huge variety of things. It started in Australia in the ‘80s and got hugely popular about 15 or 20 years ago with Evangelicals in the U.S.…
Yeah, that’s the thing: Protestant churches and synagogues are kind of like franchises (varies from church to church even in the same sect), while the Catholic Church is kind of like a corporation (it’s pretty much the same wherever you go).
I think in the Catholic Church, the congregants tend to be more liberal than the Church.
Unitarian...many Episcopal churches (Protestant sects it depends on the individual church itself)...um, Reformed Judaism?...annnnnnd...Flying Spaghetti Monster?
Colbert is a practicing Catholic and as I recall, the Catholic Church, despite the current pope, isn’t exactly gay friendly either.
Fair point. This at least justifies my “it was probably trash already” theory.
So, I guess the answer is ‘yes, a car can be crushed by a domino.’ This is so good to know.
this would be my guess as well. mythbusters has a long history of being given things with the expressed instructions to destroy them
It’s just out of frame in all of the footage, but the car had a Nazi decal. I’m glad its crushed.
It’s entirely possible that much like Earl this was donated to the show by the owner for the express purpose of smashing it.
Twelve or so years ago you could hear me, from under my AW11 MR2, yelling ‘I HATE YOU’ to it as I tried to reach some other thing that was impossible to even see.
*Curled up in the corner, sobbing* It had to be a salvage title. The frame was rusted out. There had to be something irredeemably wrong with it. There just had to be!
The AW11 MR2 is garbage. Everyone remembers them through rose colored glasses. The body roll is insane and they are underpowered. Even with a pulley swap for the supercharger and NA cams, they still arnt fun to drive. The steering is vague at best and the brakes are nothing special.
