He seems unperturbed by the whole thing. He even appeared live on channel 4 news from Goodwood to comment on Chuck Berry’s death.

Also, both you and Stef are hilarious on twitter.

You and Stef consistently write good stuff, I’d like to see them do any better. Perhaps they are intimidated by a woman doing something they can’t, and doing it well.

You do understand that the US has pretty ridiculous standards to allow sale into the US? It costs vast amounts to re-engineer cars for sale in the US, vast amounts that the french car companies don’t seem to want to pay, maybe the potential sales vs cost isn’t worth it.

French cars tend to be very reliable, GM on the other hand...

Only trouble is that if you drive one here in the UK, people would think you were a chav or a yob. This is why I bought a Golf GTI, it’s just a bit more grown up. Besides, I love the grunt the golf has all the way through the rev range courtesy of the turbo. That said I was really tempted by the Type R.

What? No fourgeonette/camionette? Allow me!

What makes 300hp through the front wheels any different based on whether it’s available in the US? The RS is 17 seconds slower round the ring than either the fastest Civic or the Golf. AWD isn’t mandatory a fast hatch.

GTI Clubsport S has near as dammit 300hp and is front wheel drive and the current Type R is over 300hp.

Competes with the GTI Clubsport and Clubsport S in Europe. Current type R was the ‘ring record holder for FWD before being superceded by the Clubsport S.

Dunsfold, otherwise known as the Top Gear Test Track. Supposedly it closed at the end of December, a housing development has been approved for the site.

Shame we don’t have dat sweet polo in action though

Pretty much spotted it before the cardboard Ferrari. The first gen Twingo is a meme hero.

No one gonna mention the Twingo next to it?

That’s great, I’ll be there for you, cause you’re there for me too.

Something something second gear.

British Football (or Soccer if you want to call it that) team.

Back when I was young our family cars were Rovers, we had a 1990 Metro and a 1994 100, of course the same car pretty much. My mum bought them because she didn’t like big cars and wasn’t very good at parking, fortunately we never crashed in it.

Something something Hardibird something something

I not sure I want to picture that.
