Yep! JJ is on fire.

1977, Stiffs Live Tour. Elvis Costello and the Attractions on stage. The audience are all gobbing at the bands, it’s the height of punk. Elvis: “This song is by Burt Bacharach and Hal David” and they do an awesome “I Just Don’t Know What to Do With Myself.”
It’s probably all the bluegrass fans.
“She even submitted “Daddy Lessons,” Lemonade’s detour into bluegrass territory, for consideration in the country categories.”
Sure, but I just read about a 6 pound toad that could lay 35,000 eggs. Top that.
If Joe Biden assaulted Tara Reid, does this mean Pam Anderson did see Tim Allen’s penis or that she didn’t? And what if Joe Biden saw Tim Allen’s penis? Does this establish he assaulted Tara Reid? No wonder people have to go to three years of law school for this stuff.
He says nothing about mysterious evidence. He says he received “additional discovery.” As you know, “discovery” in a criminal matter comes to the defense from the prosecution and is thus not a “mystery” to either side. If whatever was provided leads him to believe his client would prevail at trial, there’s nothing…
This looks like an interesting series. I can’t think of many legal procedurals that proceed from the viewpoint of the accused. Maybe Perry Mason? I’m not sure I agree with the reviewer that the show needs to “delve into those who are rightfully charged.” First, it sounds like that would hurt. Second, aren’t there…
What is unethical about it? Seems like he’s stating his opinion about the evidence against his client.
My daughter texted me the line-up today and it’s the first year where I had to ask who one of the headliners is - Blackpink is a new one for me. Another symptom of my creeping cultural illiteracy, I suppose.
Well, that and being personal slaves.
Apropos of nothing, why does the AV Club consider Zach Galifianakis playing a lovable sasquatch a story that’s related to this one?
“It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me.”
Exactly. Saying Castor’s deal was the reason Cosby got out of prison isn’t exactly true - the reason he got out is because Castor’s successor reneged on the agreement and used Cosby’s depo testimony to get the conviction. So it’s also true that Cosby was probably only in jail because of Castor’s deal.
“During a 2005 suit, Cosby admitted to giving women quaaludes with assurances from then-Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce Castor Jr. that the information would be used to prosecute him.”
I asked Jerry, he told Terry
Terry sang a song just for me
Lynvall gave a message to me
Rhoda screamed and she asked me
”Where have all the rude boys gone?”

He’s a fascinating guy. He was a fighter pilot in World War II, he worked in MI6 with Ian Fleming and spied against the US for Britain during the early years of the war. His job was mostly to befriend influential people and shore up support for US involvement but there was some actual spying going on. I can’t recall…
I get it, but without knowing what evidence was presented we don’t know what the jury heard and saw. Even with the weight of three separate victims (presumably) testifying with each bolstering the other two allegations, the credibility of witnesses and strength of the evidence for each crime is going to differ. It’d…
That’s not what’s going on. If you’re a juror you can believe he raped each of the three women. But following your oath and deciding on the evidence that the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that he raped each woman is, rightfully, a different story.
