100%. as far as i can tell, a comparably trimmed Tiguan is a couple thousand more than this Mitsu. VW is offering 0% for 36 months and Mitsubishi is offering 1.9% for 60 months. i assume a family with a gang of kids cross-shopping these two would struggle to pay off a Tiguan in 3 years and would see 1.9% for five…

They oddly did the same thing with the Telluride, comparing it to full size, body on frame, SUVs based solely on its boxy appearance. An extra foot of length is a MASSIVE difference between cars. 

The difference between 197 inches and 185 is huge. They aren’t roughly the same size - they are in different classes.

I would pay the $10,000 for the engine and extra foot of legroom/cargo space alone, leaving aside the question of whether Kia gives you more features in the top trim than Mitsubishi does (I suspect they do).

I could be wrong, but I’m guessing that installing those throttle bodies and intake trumpets is a LOT more than one step’s worth of work

I like that the Tundra shares quite a bit with its competitors, the same way you might share your wife with a friend. It seems weird, but it’s actually masculine and modern. In the world of design, you want to be a sponge, and just soak up all the details. Don’t wrestle with “what you should do” on design.
