STAY IN THE DAMN CAR!

I spent a year backpacking across the African continent and, whenever I could afford it, spent some time in Safari parks. There are a wide variety, but some (like this one it looks like) allow people to drive through, unaccompanied by a ranger or guide, in their own cars.

Unfortunately, human idiocy knows no bounds. When a small 7 year old child got up on the roof with the cameraman we asked our driver to leave, because child = cheetah snack size... and that was not something we wanted to witness.
