Range Anxiety for one. Having to make sure your phone is charged before you go out is just plain stupid. Why not just keep your spare battery charged and swap it in 17 seconds when the phone runs down to 0% battery?

That’s not how I did it when I had a G4 (RIP my love). I kept a battery in the charging cradle all the time. When I left for the day, swap battery—when I got home, swap battery. I literally never plugged my phone in to charge.
Battery capacity degrades over time. Without a swappable battery your only option is to carry chargers with you and stay near an electrical outlet or you can either send your phone back to the manufacturer and get a refurbished battery for a hefty sum.
