Knowing that this racist piece of shit will never know a single moment of financial stability for the rest of their life is borderline orgasmic.

I don’t know if you haven’t spent much time on Twitter but this is like...the normal capital ‘G’ Gamer reaction whenever a black person/queer person/woman exists within 100 yards of their video games/movies.

Don’t conflate being a racist asshole with having mental health issues.

Maybe I’m reading too deep into your comment, but let’s not conflate racism with mental illness. There are plenty of people with mental health issues who manage to not be racist in their treatment of others.

This reads like it’s supposed to be some kind of gotcha, but I can’t tell what kind of point you think you’re making or what you think it’s a counterpoint to.

Here’s to piracy. It’s really the only reason why video games from the 80s & 90s are still available to play. Want to play that arcade game you spent way too many quarters on back in the day? Piracy lets you do that. Want to play a beloved Atari or Sega Master System game? Piracy lets you do that. The companies that

What do you think “fantasy world” means. Seriously. Do you think they invented all new kinds of sentient creatures and spun out completely alien societies and modes of interaction whole cloth? Or do you think they made stories about human beings that are heavily based on actual human cultures and told stories about

I love this. Everything we see in the game gives us the impression that the Street Fighter characters are well-known, respected people in their world. Their success and notoriety probably has a lot to do with why martial arts has become so popular.

I’ve got an almost unclearable wall with fighting games - arthritis-related issues mean I just don’t have the dexterity to play at anywhere approaching a skill level for online play, so as much as I adore the stories and characters I usually give them a pass.

I guarantee this is all happening because of the writers’ strike. This is the studios/networks/streaming platforms trying to flex their muscles and attack writers and creators by killing shows before they pay out any residuals or other payments.

This tactic should be on the table in the writers strike, if it isn’t already. All creative should insist on contracts that protect their works — at the very minimum, prevent them from going into a vault, never to be seen again, all for the sake of a write-off.

Once gain: Give us back player managed servers, and these problems GO AWAY.

I still don’t understand how this studio handles these sensitive topics so poorly over and over. Maybe it’s just that I have a lot of experience with said sensitive issues but a lot of the mistakes they make seem like common sense to simply... not make?

Company ‘role plays’ and then begins carrying out stated illegal goals. Thanks for playing, Junior.

Kotaku isn’t a monolith. The review was by John Walker, this article was by Ethan Gach. Maybe they had different perspectives on the game.

It really doesn’t though. Things don’t need to be made by auteurs to be good. Many of people’s favorite games are made by teams that shared input and were not guided by a single person’s style.

Basically, the fanbase that doesn’t like ActiBlizzard but continues to support them by playing their games, don’t like to be reminded that ActiBlizzard had been a-ok with sexual assault because their executives do it.

Jesus, it’s like when white people don’t want to be reminded of their very cultural history, but want

I think the real problem here is that company recently surrounded by a giant cloud of sexual assault allegations having a quest whose objective is making sure a sexual assault continues to happen is just a tad gauche.

I’ve scrolled though a lot of comment sections on a lot of stories about this quest, and I have never seen so many people purposefully misrepresenting the concern over something so they can throw in their take on why it should be left in, how the people concerned are snowflakes, lament “dark” moments aren’t allowed in
