The problem with literally any system like this is that if it costs more than $20, you have to justify why I should buy it instead of getting a much, much more versatile Steam Deck.
Gamers aren't oppressed, but they *should* be.
I don’t see these things hurting Marvel and Disney too much, tbh. After all, we are kinda entering the “Simpsons Season 10+” phase of the MCU, where a lot of its cultural dominion is starting to fade, the cracks are starting to show, and passion from the fanbase will start to decline.
I’ll add...
As I have said before the issue with PSVR2 is that the market for it is simply too niche for the volume it needs to be worthwhile to develop for without Sony subsidizing the dev costs. When the headset costs more than the machine required to run it that puts it squarely in the realm of enthusiasts and not mass…
“Capcom has instead seemingly dug into my brain and pulled out the version of the game I remember playing in 2005”
They also worked on Metroid Prime Remastered (which was excellent), and the Crash and Spyro trilogy PC ports (which were pretty good albeit some problems at high refresh rates) . I suspect Iron Galaxy isn’t the problem here.
Hi, just a friendly reminder that Bobby Kotick is a piece of shit and the world would be better off if literally the entire fleet of Greyhound busses ran over him (and the rest of Activision-Blizzard executive leadership, for that matter).
“And I know a lot about obvious disappointing behavior for almost 30 years!”
You have no idea the pain that goes into filing a report, and everything that comes after. Literally no idea. There is a reason so much of this bullshit goes unreported.
“I’m so very sorry that they had to go through such a horrifying experience, it’s absolutely not their fault, and we’re already in the process of tracking down the fucking scumbag who did this,” Blomberg continued in a thread.
I just subscribe from time to time when there’s a hand full of games I want to try or play through. Usually it’s 3-4 times a year.
Inevitable but still a bummer. Can’t really justify spending $180 a year on a subscription service. $60 a year was perfect. If I switch to just PC Game Pass, that’ll bring it down to $120 but even that’s a bit pricey. The subscription cost needs to be significantly lower than the price I’d pay for the relevant games…
Agreed on both points. The $1 deal was insane, but $180/year for Ultimate (or $120 for regular) is the cost of three (or two) full price games, which is still pretty good value for a year’s access to the whole library.
Sad to see it go, but I got the full three years out of the deal and I was honestly surprised they let it go on as long as it did. Even $180 a year is still insane compared to just the games I would have bought day one otherwise.
Not a game, but I can’t enjoy Howl’s Moving Castle anymore as it was followed up immediately mere minutes after with my abusive ex emotionally abusing me and telling me I’ll never be a real girl and she was kicking me out of her apartment (I was 6 hours by plane from my home state). Luckily one of my besties let me…
I like Sanderson’s books, they’re definitely popular because they’re accessible and competently delivered as opposed to dazzling the reader with prose but there’s no shame in being the MCU of fantasy books.
Of course they did. Have we forgotten Embrace, Extend, Extinguish? Looks like they jumped right to Extinguish.
This seems like a tacit admission on MS’ part that after the 10 year guarantees they’re signing to try and get the deal across the finish line expire, they are in fact going to do all the things that people are afraid they’re going to do (Xbox exclusivity for COD, etc.)?
