“...2013 GOTY Pentiment...”

I never got the chance to toy around with Dreams but I loved what I saw coming out of it. I wonder if a better path would have been to - some amount of time after the launch - put out a free “Dreams Player” program that let you try a handful of curated creations, in order to draw more people in.

I just hope they have a better plan in place this time around. If we have to continue in this ‘era’ of the world, I wish we could be seeing the path where Rey takes Ren’s hand in the throne room and they form their own Force user club. I like Ridley in the role but I fear she’s gonna be given another uneven batch of

RetroArch is the outfit generally disliked in the emulation community, right? Or is that someone else? Also,

Very, very curious to know what portion of VR sales are from people getting their first headsets, and what portion is folks already bought in who are upgrading. I don’t think every product needs to be aimed at every person, but from an outsider POV, VR has had this weird problem of being talked about as the next

I have to assume IG keeps taking bad deals because not only have they also done very good ports, they’ve done good work on original games too.

I wonder if this is one of the reasons ABK execs are so intent on this acquisition. The Chinese audience is a pretty significant one for Blizzard, right?

Hooooooooo boy, that’s a dev team without a bright future ahead. I doubt it was their decision in any way but people will associate them with this forever.

Oddly enough it feels like Steven Universe has had more staying power in the cultural consciousness even while Rick and Morty is still airing.

His wording - “I completely dismissed all the anti-Microsoft stuff” - comes off to me as highly ignorant for someone who (as you say) really shouldn’t be such about that company. It feels like he’s speaking generally, and maybe that’s just me.

That’s very kind of Torvalds to say about the engineers but those engineers aren’t the ones making billion-dollar acquisitions expressly for the purpose of locking out competition. That seems like kind of a ridiculous train of thought for him to take.

And while many times those are situations of his own foolishness and pride, against Buu he readily signed up to be the tank.

To your first and last bits, I’m reminded of Capcom USA employees pleading with Japan headquarters to not implement terrible practices like on-disc content paywalled behind DLC unlocks, as it would lead to increased piracy. The executives in Japan responded with “why would anyone do that, that’s against the law”.

The only folks I especially sorry for are the ones who backed the original crowdfunding campaign and were later told by Roberts they wouldn’t ever receive that original version of the game, and they’re probably long gone from this mess.

Slava Ukrayini, those other guys can get bent. Can’t wait for Heart of Chornobyl.

It’s never not morally just to pirate Nintendo games. Do it often, do it always.

Stealing “lavishly vertical” for if I ever need a Tinder profile.

Fingers crossed they can get it back to 100% without too much hassle. It is vitally important that these sources for information outside of Fandom’s network stay up and usable.

And the season passes appear to be double the price as their Steam counterparts, which is crazy. Looks like if you’re not interested in other colour palettes you can just buy the characters individually for cheaper.
