Yes, but it's easier to fight ignorance than blind hatred. You can show a reasonable, but uninformed, person the mountains of information about how much more difficult it is to be a person of color in this country. That's basically what happened to me.

I think arguments like that are born more out of ignorance than hate. I subscribed to that line of thinking for a while, but the more I learned about racial inequality, the more disgusted I was by it.
