It really was all downhill from there.

The very first thing my freshman-year roommate did was put a giant Avenged Sevenfold poster on the of our room. He'd listen to them every night to go to sleep (???). I like to think that @RepostedAvengedSevenfoldFan2:disqus has used something he wrote.

In America, first you get the sugar. Then you get the money. Then you get the power. Then you get the tomatoes.

We should! That's why I'm building a working version of the donut-eating machine from the Treehouse of Horror. Or, I would be if it was easier. Maybe someone else will do it and I can just buy it on Google, that'd be more convenient.

Not for lack of trying. KISS wanted to Rock and Roll all nite.

What do you mean? The fact that I'm surprised by it?

As a 5'6" man, I don't get anything remotely like that, not from strangers anyway. Actually, I think the opposite happened. When I worked at Walmart for a summer, I'd get requests for things on top shelf and I'd just be like, "Do you seriously think I can reach that?"

Being a guy with a small waist is no fun either. My pants are either bunched up because of a belt, or they're constantly sliding down my butt.

It amazes me that someone would comment on the appearance of a complete stranger, especially to their face.

I've never gotten that from The Incredibles. The crux of Syndrome's plan is to set himself up as the only super, and, once he's "had his fun", turn around and tell everyone "Actually, you're not really that special".

He had arthritis?

I never think to list it as one of my favorites, but every time I watch it I remember how funny it is.

His ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to his newsletter.

My exposure to other denominations in school was basically, "This is how they're wrong." We never went into any of the reasoning behind the differences in belief.

That's an interesting point on the Peter clue. I grew up Catholic and I've never heard that verse interpreted any other way.

It's only about 9 1/2 hours, if you don't count Serenity. Totally worth a late Friday/all Saturday. If you do count Serenity, it's still worth it.

Relatedly, what about Buffy?

I loved Crichton in high school. I read 9 of his books, I think. Around the time I read Timeline I realized all his plots were the same and I couldn't name a single character from any of his books.

It's even more baffling since there's another awesome mother with an "S" last name from Buffy.

YOU'RE DRUNK!
