Here is another:
I live just outside of Philadelphia, a major metropolitan area in the U.S., and I had zero problem getting a Switch on launch night with no preorder or reservation. THe WiiU, on the other hand, was sold out for a year and a half here.
I was just playing this song on piano earlier this evening. Get outtamyhead Brian!
What’s wrong with 60 minutes?
these are games that look like they were built for Windows 95.
I was just on SL earlier today. Still kickin’
I pair these with a wireless receiver for my NES and SNES and have never had a problem. The weight of the NES30 and SNES30, (when comparing them to their original counterparts) feels exactly the same. I know I CAN use them for other gaming systems, but the whole point for me was a wireless controller for retro…
This is great. I’m glad there are so many indies getting a chance at a physical release. I want to be able to pop these games in to my PS4 in twenty years and still be able to play them, regardless of servers still being accessible.
Again, “rarity” does not mean “scarcity”. There is a difference NerdyManJoe.
The Classic is scarce, not rare. As I replied to another comment here, people are exploiting the scarcity of the product, not paying a value based on rarity. The cost will come down in the aftermarket, eventually.
That was my point KingHippo. You can easily buy those systems, which had lower production runs, on eBay just like you can purchase a Classic on eBay from hundreds of sellers if you are willing to pay the price, which coincidentally is around the same as the aforementioned two systems. Just because the demand is high…
But if it were rare it would be next to impossible to track one down at all. As I type this, there are over 500 brand new, 40 nearly new, and 72 pre-owned that you can purchase on ebay right now. On Amazon there are over 350 used and new options. In my area alone, there are 52 separate offers on OfferUp of…
In this day and age, 2 million+ units sold is considered “rare”. I don’t hear anyone talking about the scarcity of the Virtual Boy, (770,000 units sold), or how hard it is to find the Phillips CDi, (which at 1 million units sold, was considered a commercial failure). Rare would be the 1500 units of Spiderman for the…
Either one would have blown me away back in the day, much like the sampled voices used in the Clayfighters theme and Skate or Die 2 did.
Same here Crouton. My brothers and I used the money we saved specifically to buy a launch console, (the first launch console I ever bought). All the hate surrounding the system is really ill-placed. When you dive into the library, there are some amazing games for it, and a few exclusives that make it worthwhile.
Oh yeah ....
Truly the only reason to own that game is to blast that ultra 90's Saturday Morning-esque rap.
Not when you play 32X games it isn’t. The mod scene, (most of which you can play using the Mega Everdrive on the 32X) is enormous and worth checking out.
