I would kill for access to a wood-wording shop. I used to know how to use all the equipment, but it's been over 10 years... looked into some but they really are quite expensive.

At least in this case it's really because he's fucking lazy and not because he thinks it's my job. He always means to do shit and then gets distracted. And I can't be arsed to text him instructions on what to do every day.

Power tools?! I can't afford those!

But I work all day and he stays home and I still do most of the cleaning. :/

I take out the trash the vast majority of the time. He's a former mechanic, so it kinda makes sense for someone who knows what he's doing to fix the car, than someone who's been driving for only two years?

Pretty sure she's talking about cases where the couple lives together.

Then you are lucky that other people didn't buy you all pink stuff.

And they wonder why girls don't feel welcome in engineering...

Omg, off-topic but when you said "waistcoats" I had a vision of toddlers dressed in Dickinsian-style split-tail suit jackets. Now I really want to do this :((

The problem isn't that there are pink clothes. The problem is that 90% of the stuff is pink. Exactly as lethekk replied to you, I'm afraid that my (unborn) daughter will feel like she has to like pink or there is something wrong with her. It's about leaving the world open to choice.

Ugh. My MIL got a bunch of pink stuff as soon as she found out I was having a girl.

Seriously??

Interestingly enough, Christians do say "the Christian community" a lot.

Blasphemy.

No, but that's obviously what you had in mind when you mentioned "prom kings" and "blonde cheerleaders"...

Soooo I can't say anything about the issue because I've been affected by Asian beauty ideals? I calls'em like I sees'em.

Hmmm... I always interpreted that as how she would have been if she had never met Charming. People you meet change you, and if you never met them, you would be different, especially someone as important as a significant other.

Ummm, Asians are a minority. If you have even one Asian kid in the popular crowd out of 5-6, that's already a lot more percentage of Asians that are popular than white people that are. So....

In case it isn't painfully obvious, I'm not very aware of Asian celebrities either...

My mother has big double eyelids. She still looks Asian. It's an overall aesthetic thing, not a checkbox thing. Also: So many Asian celebrities get nose jobs and double eyelid surgery etc that they aren't used as markers of "Asian-ness" for celebs anymore. Maggie Q looks like most of the newscasters/singers/actresses
