And now that I have, you're even more wrong.

But the onus shouldn't be on Asian women to date Asian men.

This.

It's not difficult in general to identify them. I'd give it 30min tops.

No, she'd have a racial preference for Asian men if she dated 70% Asian, considering that they're 4% of the population, and in many areas esp in the Midwest, there's like two of them in a single city. (Ponca city Oklamhoma ftw. There was exactly 1 Asian guy within +/- 5 years of me)

Actually, Asian women date Asian men at a frequency far higher than just random chance would suggest. And there was a study pulled out multiple times that indicated Asian-Asian coupling frequency was going up as the percentage of Asians in the population was increasing.

I actually have not heard anyone on here denigrating white males who simply happened to date a woman who was Asian... and I feel like I'd be fairly sensitive to that kind of stuff.

First gen Chinese here. Yeah, will refuse to date anyone whose parents know my parents.

This. I have not been hit on by any Asian guys, despite having dated a few. I instigated, of course.

When 90%+ of the people who hit on you are white? No, not really.

In NYC and Syracuse, the vast majority of Asian girls were with Asian guys, afaik. Especially in Asian-heavy areas.

Whoooooosh.

You missed the point.

I like guys with Brooklyn accents. But not sure that counts as fetishization, since it's far from the main thing that attracts me to someone.

White people don't feel guilty about this unless they do it.

I haven't really seen either. More of

Growing up, I avoided Asian guys mostly because their parents knew my parents. :/

So they only approached you because you were white? And only talked to you about how much they loved white culture, how white guys are so much hotter than other guys, how they know how to treat a girl, etc etc? And how the moment you do something non-stereotypically white they react in disgust, then later sadly tell

Yup. My (white) husband thought it was hilarious that guys would actually get offended by the implication that some white guys are Asian fetishists. He got teased a bit for dating me, but in the end, you know your own motives, so no reason to get angry unless there is a reason you think it's talking about you.

I think you might be reading a bit too much personal guilt into these articles.
