Wasn't there an article a while back about how statistically, men sabotage birth control more than women? Anecdotally it's proven the case for me at least.

Umm what? You act like we don't talk to each other.

What are women's motivations to be successful and make more money then? Aren't those ends in and of themselves??

Yeah, they don't realize that talking to me is free. Personality and interesting-ness determines the rest. Buying me a drink is irrelevant.

I agree that it's just fine whatever she chooses.

Yup. When someone buys me a drink, I say thanks, but I also act as if it was perfectly normal for people to buy me drinks, and it doesn't entitle them to anything more than anyone else.

They can attract people!

Yeah, I thought it was Jezebel exaggerating again. After all, no one would actually compare women to dogs, would they?

Huh. I use "guys" as the female equivalent of "guys".

Unless someone got their name from their mother, or picked it for themselves. Or had the name of an adopted family or someone who meant a lot to them.

Well if you're always meeting at bars and eating out and going on dates, you'd wear makeup. And four weeks isn't really a lot. Though I'm guessing not many stay the night, because not washing your face is infinitely worse than no makeup.

I'm good when I feel like it.

If people ask me what I usually answer "old man".

Ok, that's understandable. Kind of like how Lindy wants to take her bf's name even if she knows that the reasons behind it are patriarchal. You want what you want.

That seems like a PITA.

Well, to be fair, his name also came from his father. I don't understand the way people talking as if if a man has a name, it's his, but if a woman has a name, it's her father's.

That's only if his identity hinges on her taking his name.

Umm what? How does it also being her father's name make it not her name?

But it's more important for him to have his way, even if it makes you unhappy?
