Orange juice is tasty, and key limes.

Again, please tell me why we even have Florida?
Calling N’yongo extremely good looking is one of the biggest understatements I’ve ever read. Whatever genetic lottery you have to hit to look like that is way beyond anything humans can calculate.
Like my new reality series in which people are put into a prison, and half are inmates and half are guards, and they’re given permission to, you know, do whatever.
Well said, Ms. Roo
So – I’m a little busy right now to do a truly comprehensive list without getting a check for it – especially since I’d essentially be doing the author’s work – but would it not have been useful to at least list *some* of the most prominent current women whose work has been co-opted and whitewashed and erased?
Franco is so greasy looking, he probably just slid off the page.
That whole trash “argument” of yours would be at least somewhat more compelling if it weren’t for the facts that
Listen, fellow white person: That kid is amazing. He was NOT disrespectful. He framed his journal entry in terms of what HE wanted. He did not curse or call the teacher names. He expressed his honest reaction. In his journal. Which is what a journal is for.
If there were one word to accurately describe the now-much-discussed piece in which a young woman accuses Aziz…
I see the resident rape apologist is out and already starred. Fantastic. Here’s why I don’t buy that men “don’t understand what’s going on with women”: because it’s bullshit. There have been multiple studies that have proven over and over again that men do understand body language and non-verbal cues, they just choose…
I mean, I’m not feeling a ton of sympathy for the guy, but I also don’t know that my point doesn’t stand with regard to men being awkward and immature. Those are learned qualities and adults need to unlearn them or own them and make up for them. I have a dear (male) friend who has ASD and genuinely does struggle to…
No. This is a dangerous statement.
This reads like an abuse apologist ignoring sexual violation.
He repeatedly ignored her clear verbal and non-verbal signals of non-consent and continued to pressure her into sexual activity. How is that not predatory behavior?
That laziness is insidious and strategic - men are always suddenly bumbling when they want to retain a certain amount of power. “Oh, I didn’t know [groping her wasn’t cool]/[how to load the dishes right]”
I have no interest or intention of rehabbing men. Like the spoiled children they’ve behaved as, they can sit down and think about what they’ve done for a while. Bouts of unemployment or underemployment is only fair. I can’t number the opportunities I’ve lost for speaking up or fighting back.
Um. Yeah. We have to work at least twice as hard to get half as far (more so if we’re women of color). We have to “set the boundaries” at work or on a date. We have to be the ones to risk our jobs to report misconduct or harassment or failure to pay us equally — and sometimes we have to leave our jobs when the man…
This is a great example of why “The President has the power to do X” doesn’t mean the same thing as “The President can do X for whatever reason he feels like.” Fundamental to the modern administrative state is that the Executive’s power is not unlimited; a decision cannot be “arbitrary and capricious.”
It’s not even just that. It’s not even only that she “just gave a great speech”.
