You’re gonna be looking for a while; only the 528 (and post-facelift, the 525) e39 wagons that could be had with a manual. The 6MT 540i was sedan-only.

$1,200 for anything that runs halfway decently and isn’t rotted to hell is cheap motoring, with bonus points for working A/C and wagon utility. NP.
Yeah, whatever. I’ll continue to scream from the mountaintop about those damned GM reverse/approach light combos.
“(long since replaced with an electronically targeted turret system).”
Which itself was removed from the B-52 fleet in the mid ‘90s. The B-52 no longer has any tail gun at all.
Or, alternately; “fuck, the reverse lights are on. Better pay attention to my 24 years of driving experience that tell me some dipwad’s gonna- oh, never mind. It’s an Impala. There’s only a 50% chance that some dipwad’s backing into me.” Seriously, the rest of the automotive industry isn’t this dense.
Also, re: the UT…
This is probably one of those cases where it didn’t even occur to the DOT that some OEM would try this, and thus there was never a regulation written around it.
Now that’s it been out there in the market, it’s on the DOT to say to GM, “Hey. Cut it out.”
Disagree. Reverse lights are to:
1.) light the path behind the driver reversing
2.) Inform other drivers that you are reversing.
They are not used for:
3.) Informing other drivers that you have just locked/unlocked your car.
Using lights in a manner inconsistent with how they have been used by all other manufacturers, for…
Cripes, are we ALL going alphanumeric now?
LP580-2 sounds like an industrial standard, not a Lamborghini.
Edit: Apparently it’ll still be named “Huracan,” though there’s no indication of that in the article. Lamborghinis never really interested me so I just figured they were going Full McLaren (never go Full McLaren.)
That’s the South in a nutshell...well, that and playing tug of war with a Volvo.
Volvo XC70: owning redneck games since, apparently, 1 Jan 2014.
I was always under the impression that the Hogwarts Express was, like Platform 9 3/4 and Diagon Alley, invisible to non-magic folk (yes, I’ve read the books and seen the movies. I’ve got a teenage daughter, ok?*)
*they were all really damned good, truth be told.
This car would break me financially, emotionally, and would probably cause a divorce.
Still-
So, she stole the idea of the Guild Navigator, then?
I still wanna know how Dominic was able to crawl into the back- it never shows him entering/egressing Airwolf. It bothered the hell out of 9 year old me that they’d make an old man climb over the rear instrument panel to get to the rear crew station.
...but they also apparently compel the user to get down and boogie.
SO close. Let Mr. Ferguson explain.
