Yeah, I figured it was a stretch.
Ha! A local!
Here I thought I finally had a chance with an AOTD with my pee-in-the-landing-gear-reservoir story.
8th gen (2006+)(2007+ for sedan as I had) is six forward gears. Close ratio in 1-5 (allowing it to stay in (uh oh, here comes the meme) VTEC when shifted at redline. Redline was 8000, fuel cutoff 8300, VTEC changeover took place at 5800 RPM. 6th was for highway cruising, albeit not all that relaxed highway cruising…
Indeed, "There, I fixed it." and "If you need a welder, just move this here a little bit."
Just about exactly what I did in my Civic Si. Overall average for 60K miles was less than half a MPG off the stated *HIGHWAY* MPG for the car.
I actually picture Jeremy Clarkson's Toybota, with its suspension welded up.
Thus it was, that another Chevelle SS has gone to the great dragstrip in the sky, leaving us while racing away from Johnny Law. As epic and appropriate a way that may have been to go out, it still is with great sadness we bid farewell to this exceptional vehicle.
It had no suspension to speak of. Any 'suspension' took place in the wheels & tires alone. Think 'Mustang go-kart' and you might be in the right area.
Wait - you're assuming there still IS a suspension.
Nearly on-topic is the following, from [www.dracoinvictus.com]
Seriously? They'll MAKE any part? Like actually fabricate it, as opposed to having a rack with it on it?
Yeah, but those cars look OLD.
If so awarded, to Gamecat235, can I get an honorable mention?
Thanks, swatthefly.
