So yet again, so called Christians choose fetuses (or I guess potential fetuses) over the health and well being of actual live humans.

The internet is a clean, faith-based, moral center for information sharing. How dare you claim otherwise!

Killing it. KILL. ING. IT. I would FEAST on watching some of the horrid transphobic assholes try and tell her she can’t wear or do what she wants. Thanks for being you and speaking up, Janae!

Agree. But can’t that be said nicely rather than with the same snark and ridicule that should be reserved to those who don’t try, don’t respect transgender rights and even work against them? Doesn’t intent matter?

That’s not at all true. Calling out people who are trying but doing more harm than good is always useful especially if they’re “trying” in such a public way. If Jose Canseco thinks that this is the best way to honor and understand transgender people, then the public drubbing he will get for it will hopefully at least

This sounds like more of a problem with how we treat black people than whether or not a white woman wants to wear her hair a certain way.

Hi, I hope one of you will explain this to me. Gently please! I am genuinely trying to learn. Or point me towards a clear resource. I am a minority but I feel that I am not confident I understand “cultural appropriation” completely, and constantly worry that I will offend someone because my understanding of this is

Sort of off topic but: I just can’t with the whole “Rich women aren’t allowed to be feminists or express feminist beliefs because capitalism” comments you sometimes see on this and other feminist sites. (Not saying that’s what the original commenter is saying). It’s like so does that mean rich people can’t speak out

She is a woman, though. Does that not make her part of the disenfranchised who are permitted to share uplifting mottos?

Wow, this is actually a first. The only other person I have heard say Donald Trump is not racist is Donald Trump. Also, probably Woopi, but that’s just a guess.

She seems pretty adamant that she's all for the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes— so yeah, I'd say she's a feminist.

No One True Scotsman is the name of a logical fallacy. The usual example given for the fallacy is:

It means that somewhere, out there, is a prominent feminist - or a celebrity who happens to identify as a feminist - who will never fuck up in the public eye. (See also: unicorn)

Who cares if she did or didn't show bad judgment? Cosby raped her, so she is a victim. Debating over whether she's a 'good victim who did everything right' or a 'bad victim who used poor judgement' is a pointless waste of time.
