So did Cheryl burn down Barry's orphanage? She giggles at the news (which, sure, she'd do anyway) but she also announced her desire to buy & bulldoze an orphanage in last season's finale.

I can't argue with any of the complaints people level against CinemaSins, but it really does feel like they are often taking it too seriously as film criticism - or perhaps being frustrated because they assume other people are taking it seriously as film criticism.
Sounds more like she had *some* degree of importance (though I'm not entirely clear how it would be possible for them to turn her into a slave but not rape her). "Sailing with my family" doesn't sound like what you'd say about being out on some poor fishing boat - it sounds like a merchant ship or even a noble's ship.
I love how quickly and decisively he took care of it too - I was expecting (and slightly dreading) a whole episode of Bjorn on the run, looking like he might die when we all know he won't.
Yeah, post-Ragnar Vikings (whenever that happens) is going to hinge on the performances of his adult sons.
Nothing about Ragnar is a clear matter of historical record - but the snake pit death is one of the most consistent and broadly accepted details of the semi-historical legend. At least, the show can't ignore it (doubly so given its introduction in S1 and all the recent imagery) — if it's going to do something…
Oh she was? Well, Paris was connected enough - it's exceptional but not impossible that an east Asian would be there, I suppose.
Timeline-wise, we're still 150+ years out from anything resembling Viking contact with North America. Then again, timeline-wise, Rollo shouldn't have even been born until *after* the siege of Paris, and shouldn't receive Normandy for another 50 years - so who knows.
I think the explanation has to be that she came from the *other* half of the Viking world, the one we don't see at all in this show - the Kievan Rus in eastern europe, who interacted with the Byzantines and were generally probably somewhat more in touch with the existence of Asia. It's still a bit of a stretch, but it…
Late to the party but:
Yeah, it's incredible. Before her first scene in the series was finished, I had forgotten that Louie Anderson even existed and was 100% watching a genuine old soft-spoken rural California mom. This show on the whole still hasn't completely landed for me, though it feels close - but Louie Anderson deserves an award, as…
My favourite Mama Baskets moment was her delight at the notion of a spiral knife.
This show was a truly delightful surprise. It's not perfect, but its insanely ambitious and lives up to that ambition in almost every way.
I highly doubt it will be an independent Secret Empire though - it will be an arm of Hydra (though perhaps not knowingly). AoS dedicated an entire climactic reveal scene to the fact that all sorts of organizations throughout history have distinctly similar logos and are all tied to Hydra - and that tie pin is…
I think he meant the viewers fussing, not the characters.
I don't think he touched the mark. I think they are basically reusing the Aether setup from Thor 2 - the zero matter somehow perceives that she perceives someone as a threat, and acts.
So, are we going to talk about how the Arena Club inner circle / the "Council" is definitely Hydra? Look at that tie pin logo. They are barreling towards a full-on plot tie-in between agents Carter and Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
This YouTube series dives deeply into the psychology of Gamergate and the anti-Sarkeesian backlash. It's the best discussion of it I've seen so far: https://www.youtube.com/pla…
Speaking of continuity, I think there's another layer to the Thundercats/Thundermen joke beyond just the surface hilarious absurdity of "but we're not cats". Think back to The Gang Wrestles For The Troops and their constant bickering over the lyrics of "Birds Of War" ("…but that just makes it sound like we're actual…
Yeah he's had moments that make me cringe slightly BUT they all seem to be products of him sincerely struggling with all this stuff and trying to evolve his understanding of it. Which is the mark of anyone who doesn't suck.
