Supposedly he has the skill Pierce in the remake, which makes him much more useful if true. But you probably still can’t fuse or get rid of him after you recruit him, making him somewhat of a wasted slot. But Pierce really helps...

Shame that he sucks in the game, Befitting of the DMC2 garb, I guess.

Yeah, he’s OK when you get him, but he quickly gets outclassed by anything you can cook up yourself. And you can’t fuse or just get rid of him, so that becomes a wasted slot in your roster.
