@Kellen Dunkelberger: Since when was having good voice acting and engaging gameplay mutually exclusive? Not every game with good voice acting is Metal Gear Solid you know.

It'd be fine if it was just a big forum and wasn't linked to a game, I think. People post on forums with their real names all the time, heck you can post on Kotaku with your facebook account.

@Kellen Dunkelberger: I disagree 100%. The voice work on Red Dead and Alan Wake, for example, really made those games for me.

A longer period for the game to play out over should be really interesting.

@Gwydeon: The list needs more Battlefield.

@pinshot: You wouldn't be able to stop kids getting on. Same way that you can't stop kids buying MW2 even though it's rated 18 or M.

This review pretty much sums up what I felt from the demo, but adds in a few disappointing extras, like the lack of mission variety.

@Shinta: if you put some strobe stereo effect on it as well I think it'd blow your mind

@Fnor: Yeah the Wii version of RE4 worked great. Since the Move control system is basically identical, it's not surprising at all.

I was quite impressed with Driver's car swapping mechanic. I really wasn't expecting it when they showed that in the demo. At first I was a bit confused, but thinking on it, the concept could be really fun to use.

Seems to be working ok from what I can see. I don't think a big studio with heavy lights and a sequined dress helped Miranda much, but they were still controlling the raft.

" It's just a shame that the initial buy-in requires several thousand dollars for a new television. "

You can't just measure who creates the most chances or makes the most passes. That sort of metric will never throw up a goalkeeper, for instance, when obviously its not uncommon for a keeper to be the best player on the pitch.

@orchidellia: I also don't think replay technology would have allowed the USA to have that goal anyway.

@legerrid: Another problem would be with in-game implementation. When do you stop the game to look at a replay? If someone hits a shot against the bar and it bounces down on the line, but no goal is given and the defending team takes the ball up the other end without a break in play, at what point does the referee

It's a great idea but the problem is politics. Who would pay for all of those sensors and arrays? FIFA? How would they choose which teams and which stadiums and which leagues get the technology?

@jayntampa: Yeah but that article just links you to the EA page I quoted

@excaliburps: You have to pre-order the game [at selected retailers] to play the beta, on any system.

@jayntampa: Where did you get this information. From EA's site:
