I use an app called Collateral in Android for setting the “Unsubscribe” reminder. When the reminder notification fires, it becomes sticky and can’t be dismissed with “clear all”, until I manually take action and delete that notification. Saved my ass several times.

None of the credit cards I have provide this facility. Visa CapitalOne, Amex, Discover, Chase Freedom... So far I’ve found only BofA and Citi cards offer that, neither of which I have.

This is so much more appropriate, imo. In author’s method, if someone else jumps into the seat you vacated, the person in need might blame you under their breath for being a dumbass and not offering the seat directly to them. (I have faced this.)
