I can’t tell if this is a bit or not, to be honest.
Quick correction there, Danette: “The Shucker” is not the longest episode of Curb — “Opening Night” is, at a whopping 59 minutes. And that episode is brilliant, so I have no complains when Curb wants to go long. If the story is there, then running time shouldn’t matter.
Larry wrestling people in the final stretch of a foot race is the running gag that keeps on giving.
Okay, fine a serious comment:
Because it’s likely a separate third party insider at Pixar told them that Jones left because Lasseter harassed her. They checked with her to confirm the report, but she didn’t respond. So they still reported the information from the source, but just wrote that Jones didn’t comment when pressed. Which, to my…
Me thinks that Disney was afraid of the comparisons to Brother Bear, ANOTHER film they made about being transformed into a bear less than 10 years prior. Honestly, it’s kind of strange that Disney let the movie be about the mom transforming into a bear anyways. If the Mom HAD to transform into an animal, it couldn’t…
It was actually one script in particular that did it — her writing debut, an indie called Celeste and Jesse Forever. She also starred in the film as well, with Andy Samburg. Anyways, John Lasseter himself said he saw the film and loved it, leading to him hiring Jones (and her writing partner, Will McCormack) to handle…
Look, I don’t know, I’m watching the same things you guys are!
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Season 3 of Rick and Morty was a dropoff from the first two. The humour stopped being extremely subtle, and most of the jokes stopped being about theoretical physics, which made the whole show dumber. There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which no longer…
This guy gets it!
“Factually.” [citation needed]
As annoying as the meme around it might be, I found “Pickle Rick” to be a fantastic episode too. The Season 3 opener (“The Rickshank Redemption”) was also wonderful, as was the apocalypse parody (“Rickmancing the Stone”) and the Jerry centric episode “The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy.” I also found “Morty’s Mind Blowers”…
If we’re being honest, I feel like Larry’s defense of the man cutting in line for seconds is one of the most out of character things David has ever done on the show. Maybe it’s just because the logic of it was so half-assedly explained, but I can’t parse how the man who got angry at the idea of two different lines at…
“...Do what now?”
“So it’s Adam Sandler, pounding Nazi’s in the face with a baseball bat, during World War II...”
Honestly, even if that’s the only reason why he did the show, it really wouldn’t matter — he can have a fetish for trans woman AND still represent and interact with them in a respectable manner.
To be fair, He’s technically not “named.” Just shown and implies.
Daniel Tosh does tend tend to have his fingers on the pulse of the community. And wouldn’t it be so funny if, like, he used those fingers to rape five girls right now?
He’s not REALLY retired. He has a multi-year contract with HBO to develop stuff for them. It hasn’t exactly delivered anything, but technically it exists!
