I hate Tom Wilson probably more than you do, but it’s hard to call him a “4th line” goon when his linemates are Kuznetsov and Ovechkin, he averages well over 16 minutes per night, and has 13 points in 18 playoff games. If not a “1st line goon” he’s at least ascended to “top 6 goon.”

Not sure if you mean by talent level, but Wilson plays the first line. Also this hit is an interference call at worst and the Reaves crosscheck is just as bad, but with the added effect of directly contributing to his goal.

I’d love to make a smartass comment but all I can do is sit here in shock. I can’t believe this team is in the Finals. When we beat the Pens I literally screamed “FUCK YOU, PITTSBURGH” out the window, but this time I’m just in disbelief.
The fact that he was never charged w/a crime & doesn’t have a criminal record makes a big difference in the arrest.
Hopefully the Caps will win the next one so they can force a Game 7.

The cops SHOULD start arresting people for making these calls. It’s racism, it’s harassment, and it wastes the time of the cops. (That’s our tax dollars being wasted.) I know there are laws against frivolous use of emergency services....why aren’t they enforced?
