....what are you talking about? There are no brothels in Las Vegas, true. But Nevada has legalized prostitution. However, if you are a resident of the state and unaware of that, I can believe you were educated there too.

While I don’t argue with the weird priorities (although Nevada was much higher on more recent spending lists), I would note the tax is on hotel rooms and the legalized sex trade. There is no income tax in NV, unless that’s changed in the last 3 years.

This is literally legal in my state - and many others. It might even be legal in Iowa. Often, these suits are filed knowing they will be dismissed, but using the threat of publicity to force the employer to back down.

A couple of years ago, my campus invited a bunch of student veterans to go through care under fire training with the student bus drivers. It was a pretty good deal - they gave us a full med kit with the only condition being we carry it in our backpacks.

I work at a small catholic college, and last week a mom called me, and during the conversation, informed me, she wants her daughter to attend my school because “there’s no rape at a catholic school.”

The funny thing is, that is very out of place in rugby culture. There is a LOT of emphasis on concussions, and being honest about injuries. My teammates realizing how bad things were with me was the first in a chain of events that led to that coach getting fired by us, and disciplined by USA rugby.

The sad thing is I understand it- all of us had previously had or seen teammates with concussions, and we all know the drill. Go to the ER or the urgent care, see the doc, have them tell you there isn’t anything we can do, go home, and sleep it off.
