I didn’t think it was possible to make me even slightly dislike Mike Judge, but the AV Club has somehow succeeded.

Here’s the band Live. They totally sucked. Watching them get skewered still brings me great pleasure.

Everytime I see James Hetfield I think of Butthead saying that he looks like the Cowardly Lion.

Honestly it reinforces the stereotype of gay men being unflinchingly superficial. I’m pretty sure my gay brother wouldn’t have anything to do with me, being that I’m 40 lbs overweight, if we weren’t related. I love my brother, but damn is he sucked into that culture. 

One of these days, there will be a piece like this about lesbians or bisexuals. And I will rejoice.

First, this is a fine written piece, but I take issue with the author in some places, and with some of the people I feel we’re supposed to sympathize with. First, it could have used much less of the author self insertion to reaffirm his own level of attractiveness. We get it, you’re hot.

Yep, exactly. Rich’s last piece on teens and HIV back in July nicely dodged this point in favor of ‘yay, sex!’, and this one isn’t any better with the one line throwaway (“At sex parties themselves, by the way, STIs are rarely a topic of conversation”).

I’m pretty sure you completely missed the point. Like Vice, the only gay people Jezebel seems to hire are white cismen to write about their perspectives.
