I think I recall Capcom stealing (accidentally?) some tilesets from Megaman Unlimited, a pretty solid fan-game. When this whole thing got discovered, they gave the creator of Unlimited a tour of Capcom and some swag.

That’s how I felt, in 12-year-old words, at least. I think the Blockbuster stores in CT weren’t participating, and since I lived on the border of CT/MA, I wouldn’t have thought of it because I never spent any leisure time in the state.

This contest broke my heart too—I recieved a finalist letter and the same prompt, only to find out that I couldn’t have entered the contest in the first place as a Connecticut resident. Damn you, Nintendo contests!
