Try Westley’ Blech-Wite Tire Cleaner—if you haven’t already—it works wonders. Seriously never used anything like it. Obviously try it on a small section first.

Why are Subies always on either my front bumper, or rear bumper?

Didn’t Jalopnik recently argue that police should no longer perform traffic stops?

That’s not how I remember it; my understanding is Montana had Reasonable and Prudent, and it went away because the Federal government threatened to take away highway funding if Montana didn’t institute a speed limit (I believe that was when they instituted the 55mph mandate, but I’m likely just conflating things there)

Would excessive speeding like this be reduced if all speed limits were based on some sort of scientifically-based actual safe traveling speed, rather than having areas of arbitrary reduced limits, seemingly for no reason other than revenue generation?

This will sound dumb, but I use 800 grit on the white walls if they develop a brown patch on them. You’re not really taking that much material off, it’s like using a foot file to get dead skin off. I got this advice from Coker Tire after a set of their American Classics went brown/tan after a short time.

the average Joe struggles to read tire sizes.

I’ll probably be in the minority here, but if you know what you’re getting into, this isn’t a bad car. It’s a luxury 7-seater that’s comfy, good on mileage, and drives well.

Why does reading a David Tracy article make me feel like I am enabling an addict who needs treatment?

Tired of boiling water every day? Boil a week’s worth and freeze the rest for convenient use later!

I give him kudos for not running over the assholes giving commentary.

Gneiss.

I miss my i-MiEV so much. I was going to drive that thing until the heat death of the sun.

Neutral: I just wish I can work all day with my five cats. They would make the work day soo much better. At least 3 of them would sit on the keyboard, the other two would stand right in front of the monitor.

Might be but I doubt it. Car enthusiast and midlife crisis’er here; who thinks the best off road vehicle in the world is a rental car, in reverse.

Not related, but sending good vibes your way given the current scenario at your employer.

Can someone please show me a pic of a RWD, V-8 powered Acura Legend or RL? By my reckoning, there has never been such an animal. All Legends and RL’s have been FWD and V-6 powered. The 2nd gen Legend looked RWD and had a longitudinal V-6, but no V-8.

Like, I get pricing above standard market values if you’ve got something that’s truly 1 of 1, for a good reason. Not like, “this is the only TL with a rebuilt title because of fire and flood damage at the same time”.

Oh don’t worry, I wasn’t about to offer full KBB value.

The ATLAS was a great engine drug down by the crappy GMT360 platform and neutered by GMT 355 trucks that couldn’t fit the full fat engine and made due with a 5 cylinder version of the same engine. What a waste.
