I didn’t say it was the fault of the child. I pointed out that the child receives all of the benefit of the sins of the father without the cost of those sins; so long as the father was successful on a massive scale. The children of poor criminal fathers often suffer the consequences.

It does seem terribly unjust that no child inherits the sins of their parents, but they can inherit the benefits of those sins without recourse (one can commit financial crimes or others and their children inherit the fortunes).

Stop preaching at this person. Permit the anger and keep the lecture to yourself. Not doing so makes you self-righteous, an equal sin.
