They’ve known exactly which plant was their problem for YEARS. They ignored the problem until the hospital deaths attracted enough attention that they had to shut down production. It wasn’t a supply chain problem and if there is any justice, people will go to prison.
I haven’t had Bluebell since the recall last year. I just want a banana split ice cream that’s made with real banana chunks, real strawberries/ chocolate swirled in- not artificially flavored banana ice cream with maraschino cherries and fake syrup swirled in.
That is so disappointing. It’s seriously good ice cream.
Also, one of the companies that Blue Bell used to have a contract with did their own investigation and found that Blue Bell’s own health and safety standards were waaaaaaaaaaay below what they should be.
Apparently there were a few employees who sounded the alarm well before anything was done. They said that management told them all was fine, just keep working. If so, they deserve to be prosecuted.
