Where I live, you cannot GET AN APPT. to see a doctor if you are sick. You are forced to go to drug store FNP, doc in the box or ask a pharmacist for OTC recommendations. There are too many older people with multiple health problems in the resort area where I live. And not nearly enough MDs.
