@shroomer: I don't like that the Xoom starts (apparently) at $700. If that's still the case when the iPad 2 (or iPad HD, whatever) comes out, I'll get a refurb iPad 1 cheap.

@Jaredu: I like functionality more than beauty, but I also need some degree of ease of use. I once heard this great metaphor (which I'm probably butchering) on the xkcd fora:

@theDA: . . . I just realized I misspelled "your". Damn it.

QR code = broken

@theDA: I bless thee!

@blash: Technically, it's a coding guide. But they're using JavaScript, which, despite being a nice entry-level, simple language, is really not useful for anything other than text (and numbers) before it gets complicated.

@jinushaun: I struggled with the "x = x + 1" idea too, but when I realized you weren't assigning x to itself—that you were assigning the value of "x + 1" to itself—it made sense. In retrospect it seems kind of stupid.

Another good shortcut is the dash (-). This will move you back to your last working directory:

What about tablets? There seem to be so many being released.

@jaimemicha: It depends which hand you're holding the case with, but honestly—you're pressing one button to turn pages. It doesn't matter which hand you prefer.

@LazyPanda: The real question is how the time travelers blended in so well.

@jp182: Your comment appears to have promoted itself.

@AreWeThereYeti: Don't forget that you need specific software to learn design!

@SilentAssassn87: Just hearing those quotes is making that vein on my neck stand out again.

@_Stormin: I'm hoping the iPad 2 has cameras, and that they keep the iPad 1 around and drop the price, since I'd buy a $300–$400 iPad 1 in a heartbeat. I have no need for more than 16 or 32 GB of storage, 3G or cameras.

@illegaloperation: I completely agree with you—all of Apple's apps fit perfectly together, use each other's functionality and look beautiful. Even the icons on the Android home screen look like jagged puzzle pieces, compared to Apple's, which look almost like candy.
