hahaha ok cool. *Deciding to keep what little internet happiness i have left close to the breast and skip…

Yeah I was talking with someone yesterday who was like "yeah, she didn't really take back what she said…" and I'm like what else is this woman supposed to say? "I'm sorry" seems to cover it. I swear, man. The internet. I haven't read below but I guess it's more of the same….

It's not about black lesbians. It's about the search for love of black women in a world that doesn't allow it. The love of sisters, friends, mothers, daughters and relatives. One of the women in that pretty tame female on female kiss married a man. And the kiss in the movie wasn't about sexual desire as much as it was

*shiver*

I agree about the letters. When it cut from that scene, I thought "well surely she put the letters away and wrapped it back up." When they came back to her the next morning where she just decided to fall asleep with the letters everywhere I thought "are they kidding?!!!"

Yeah I suspected as much. At least one of them thinks he's a rapist and can stand the idea of letting him off and at least one of them can't see how the law can support a conviction. That explains his lawyer not putting up a lot of defense. Despite public opinion, the law likely doesn't support rape with the evidence

Was thinking the same thing during that tirade. It came across to me as just a rapid screaming child instead of the methodical, controlled, smart woman June is.

Haven't read the book but the show was a slow burn for me. It ended much more compelling than it started, when the only thing that stood out was the implausibility of the premise as executed on screen. I do still find a lot of this implausible but limiting the area affected as just being a subsection of northeastern

Yes, yes of course. Just walk this way.

LOL

Taye Diggs, what are you DOING?!!

I thought they were gonna do old CBS stars against old ABC stars, etc…at least that would've been some kind of competition…but NOPE!

I don't know why but I can very clearly see a twitter war between trump and Melania that we'll all be treated to once she's had enough.

He's possibly a very nice, put upon kid but I swear he has the face of the rich little sh*t you either really hated or feared in junior high.

You all are making me want to watch the show all over again!

But the coat is in a trash bin somewhere across the Mediterranean….

Old Bay….

I dunno. The flag felt more Baltimore/Annapolis…not my nabe. In my parts it didn't have the same va-va-ness as, say the US flag on foreign soil does. Now that I'm not there anymore, I'll check out the MD flag to see if it makes me feel tingly.

When someone told me this show was a possibility I thought, it wouldn't happen because under no circumstances will NBC lend out the cast of This Is Us to do some three legged race against the cast of Empire all for ABC's ratings. (I have no idea how ABC worked that out back in the day.)

I don't have many days when I am distinctly proud to be a former Marylander…this is one of them. Well done.
