Wow! I forgot about Maggie and Jackson's connection. I was like "family???" since when?
-Maggie generally has been pretty annoying and finally I get an episode that lets me like her again.
For me it depends on the episode. She was fine in this one so I can right now at least see the bias that exists against her here.

Interesting that Othello became a part almost designated to a black man…ah! maybe because the character is a moor and no one knew any moors personally…haha…
My point was and is that it was a scandal back then and would be one today but people would find a way around it in order to still appreciate their celebrity and their talent. (ala Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis)
I said I was leaving this show. And I meant it. But dammit! I just can't quick this dam crazy train. It's a mess. But it's a frustrating mess because it feels like they could make a good show if they wanted to. I don't know if a good show will get good ratings (I suspect that they are seeking more of the Empire…
Listen, Shakespeare would never be held to such standard. The reality is Shakespeare is not black and is no longer living. Charlie Chaplin was well known to have had sex with underage girls but it does not diminish his legacy to those that love his work. Shakespeare's standing is well guarded.
Bow didn't win. Ruby got Bow to admit that she was a bad mom while giving Ruby what she want. I think the point was that Bow never wins…even when she wins. Lol
This review is written with the same pen used to condemn a man like Nate Parker (for daring to write the movie he wrote, let's be honest) for something he was tried and found not guilty of but will shrug as Casey Affleck and other (coughnonwhitecough) men are accused and dismissed.
Maggie is not my favorite character. This season she has been written as if she is a 16 year old. And while I can appreciate the need to highlight the fact that she skipped adolescence, she would never have made head of cardiothoracic surgery if she was as immature as she is being displayed.

Listen Jesus is a gay man who is single so there are two options: a newly single Aaron after his conveniently present-so-obviously-dead boyfriend becomes obviously dead…or Darryl "discovers" a new kind of love as he and Jesus lock eyes a little too long while stepping over a heavy metal zombie.
