Love to be told Trump is a danger by the guy who did more than almost anyone else to put him in office.

I’d never thought of it this way —seems like quite a motivator. Thanks!
All of this, plus:
This is true, with the caveat that both knew they were ending, and building to that certainly brought back some creative juice.
God, they were both so good. I end up rewatching them every year or two.
Of course, but it’s useful to have a discussion about the fact that this is a problem in higher education, where it probably often flies under the radar.
This episode is incredible, but I think its reputation sometimes unfairly overshadows The Deposition, which was right before and also a classic.
If he wanted Rey to be royalty, wouldn’t he have just done that in the one movie he knew he was making at the time?
I feel kind of insane when I read reactions online to Rey stuff. Maz literally said and the text of the film indicated she wasn’t from an important family and was learning how to reach out and grab hold of this journey ahead of her instead of waiting for people who were never coming back.
This this this. No normals left the theater after TFA asking “who are Rey’s parents?!” or thinking she was Luke’s kid. It was just an internet culture thing. I like what Rian did with Rey’s parents in Last Jedi, but it kind of feels like a stretch to me to call it a reveal because I’m not sure her parents matter in…
Same, but to be fair, 8 felt like conclusion in a lot of ways for better or worse.
Hi! This is weird because you can look up her anti-trans comments from more recent years (I believe 2013). On TUESDAY NIGHT she was replying to people on Twitter with a conspiracy theory about one of the Parkland high school students. This is ongoing and I’m not sure why you you feel the need to whitewash it.
Weird stuff on her twitter in the last few years and in a book she wrote a while back — it’s pretty easy to find with a quick google search.
Yeah. It goes beyond being a Trump supporter — her anti-trans comments, for example, are just beyond the pale. She also promotes infowars stuff and the awful Seth Rich conspiracy theories :/
Same. It’s immediately become part of my routine — hope it gets picked up for a long time.
There’s some truth to that, but it’s not business as usual that in-depth data on tens of millions was stolen and weaponized to accurately target racist and/or borderline misogynist ads. This is really bad and not anything we want being used on people, during elections or other events.
Honestly, it was a different version of the character with the same name. It does sound like Sorkin is trying to include shades of Watchman Atticus here.
Yeah... and it was pretty clear that the last season was stronger because knowing it was the end gave them some focus. Not sure I’m up for a revival.
There are a ton of silly complaints out there! I think it’s legitimate to criticize the tone though— it’s kind of a miserable slog (give or take a frog nun moment) for me, as least as far as this franchise goes. I started rewatching it last night and gave up halfway through (Canto Bight and DJ... sigh).
Yeah, I think it was Straight Outta Compton and War Room (but I’m not 100% sure if that was the first time).
