Eh, to me it's one of the worst MCU movies… and that despite the fact that I LOVED the much maligned Mandarin twist

Yeah, as long as you go into a 90%+ movie thinking "Oh, almost everybody liked it, so I'll probably enjoy it too" instead of "Oh, so it's a masterpiece", Rottentomatoes is fine
Agreed, and I really liked AoU which gets unfairly criticized imo, but Ant Man was a perfect breather after that bombastic experience
and Trip-Hop, Drum n Bass, Gangsta Rap…
Eh, I'd say that it's mostly on her, Mystique's story in First Class and DoFP is a pretty solid overall arc even if it deviates from the Mystique we know, a more suited/more invested actress could have made it work
Having read the comics the first season was a strange experience, overall it's a quality production but it was quite pointless and meandering, they made a whole season out of 3, maybe 4 comic pages…
In other news, The AVClub continues it's inexorable downfall into "Pop Culture" fast food
It's still my favorite ensemble X-Men movie, I love it
I don't have an issue with the concept of him being an horseman, but the execution… For that matter all the horseman stuff was incredibly dumb, they should have just cut that whole plot-point of the movie
Can't argue with that, if it's truly all or nothing I'd rather have all
Boy, comparing their interpretation of the characters to the current interpretations of the characters is like comparing fine wine to basic beer.
I like Holt in general, but his portrayal of Beast is unremarkable at best
You know what would make make-up much easier? Just have Lawrence wear some clothes so they don't have to do her whole body.
Not that I ever want to see Lawrence playing Mystique again anyways…
Personally I'd much rather re-watch X3 than Apocalypse, but then again I'm an X3 apologist
Lawrence should fuck of though, she's been wrong for the part and phoning it in from the start, it's not like it's impossible to recast a SHAPE-SHIFTING CHARACTER
Magneto in First Class was just sooooooooo good, I want some more of that emotional character development and not just "Aaaaaahhhh, Family's dead again, I guess I'm gonna be a Horseman now!"
Hey, why remove the best actors of these movies right?
It's what they did with Wolverine too, it's somewhat annoying if done wrong like in Apocalypse, but understandable and I don't really mind
I know, I know, I just feel an urge to praise Romero whenever the word "Zombies" comes up
Shudder
Hey now, don't mock Romero! Dawn of the Dead is an amazing movie
I'd strongly recommend you don't, I'm a sucker for dumb Zombie movies and I still found it's just the worst
