Won't deny that, but do we really want our SW heroes to be realistic losers just for the sake of getting back to a Rebels vs Empire status quo? I for once wasn't really on board with it

Hey, hopefully they can correct that with a Special Edition later on?
Pretty much the whole movie is an exact parallel to A New Hope, so that also contributes to Han's death losing impact. But the new generation witnessing it doesn't bother me, but the little to no interaction between the "originals" is disappointing, like how Chewie was ignored by Leia for some inexplicable reason
Eeeeehhhhhh… I would have been ok with it if they explored it just a little more, but basically the movie drops you into the "Luke failed at everything and the Empire is still a thing" universe immediately which just makes it a bitter pill to swallow to me
I reserve judgment for Luke still because there might be a lot more to it, but for now it's also disappointing that our OT hero's story-arc was pretty pointless… In TFA he not only failed at creating a new Jedi Order but he also failed to restore order to the galaxy and stop the Empire 2.0, so what exactly did he…
I don't even mind that there is little of the original trio, in fact I would have been fine with none of them in the whole movie, but the stories we ended up getting for them just sucked and made them look bad imo
Any suggestions? I really am not well versed in Image at all
"-Makes Me Mad-
Rebels"
Completely agreed on your last 2 sentences, instead of retelling EP4 and recreating a Rebels vs Empire status quo, I would have been way more happy and satisfied with just a simple scene between the original trio and then on to NEW and DIFFERENT adventures.
I think the Vader comic run is the Disney SW product that I enjoyed the most out of them all.
Honestly, I feel the opposite, I mostly feel like they can't get past the OT and are desperately trying to cater to the "original fans", all while trying to get a new fanbase with a "proven to work" SW formula.
So do we Mark Hammil, so do we…
Just to give you an idea, here's a visually amazing space chase inside a Space Nebula, and it's not even from a mayor episode, just from the usual filler:

You know what, I'm gonna start upvoting you just for your constant commitment, and because you are being quite funny about it.
I mean, I guess, but that's just because the movies tell the main story. I agree that one of the main flaws of the show is that there are too few consequences and that there was little progression for the main crew. They are basically still doing the same as in S1. But we got many new and interesting cool things, like…
Even by then they don't need to be dead. So what if senile Yoda says Luke is the last Jedi? It could have been to encourage him, or he just couldn't sense other surviving "more or less Jedis" hidden somewhere far away in the galaxy
Am I the only one who thinks that none of them have to die? The only thing I agree on is that neither Kanan nor Ezra can stay in the Rebellion.
I'm hyped, especially after the very strong second half of S3, and with them saying that S4 will be very serialized. Can't wait!
Really? Come on, clearly TFA is the lowest risk SW property, possibly the lowest risk movie ever…
I saw it late too, with no expectations at all based on everybody's reviews, and I surprisingly enjoyed it, it had some fun character interaction, some good shlock, and almost surreal editing
