Yep, I don't understand why Finn Jones gets trashed so much, in terms of acting and screen presence he is a lot better than Mike Colter who was rather bland. Colter did look the part perfectly to his credit, whereas Jones could have benefited from looking a little more fit

I think all out of all the Netflix shows, a race change could have worked best for Jessica Jones, her being white is in no way relevant to her character or her story, compared to the other shows

Holy shit, those (spoiler for ep 3-4)Colleen Wing Cage fights are awesome as all hell, I am actually really pumped for this show and enjoying my binge

Really? I didn't get that impression at all, I mean now that you mention it I'm thinking that he must have had his son at a young age, but it's still pretty clear who is the father and who the son. If you struggle with that just tell yourself that the blond one hamming it up is the father :)

I'm not sure why but that made me laugh out loud, such a random statement, haha

He "wenhams" it up!
Ok, sorry, I'll just let myself out…

Honestly, don't trust the reviews, if you are at all interested in the Iron Fist series give it a chance and see for yourself. I'm only 3 episodes in, and they are supposedly the worse ones, and I find the show completely enjoyable, it's pretty much on par with what Marvel Netflix has been delivering before.

Just finished episode 3 and I'm hooked, it's still all around good and they introduced some familiar characters and some intriguing new plot points

Just finished episode 2 and still don't understand the hate at all, it's perfectly on par with what Marvel Netflix has been doing

Well, I mean he clearly has no money or anything, so where would he even get clothes? Seriously, it's not that big a deal, it's coherent enough with the story they are telling, and it's pretty obvious that they are purposefully making Danny look a little naive and spacey

Because he left civilization when he was a kid and has been living in some recluse monastery in the mountains that's in another plane of existence the last 15 years of his life, so obviously he is a little naive

Oh come on, he clearly meant that Danny lived all that time isolated in some monastery in the mountains that is cut of from all civilization, it has nothing to do with the fact that that mountain is in Asia.

Honestly, just watched the 1st episode now and I don't get all the hate, it was perfectly fine to me. Not much happened in it for a stand-alone but that's to be expected for binge watch material like that.
The intro had great visuals and sound that reminded me of Daft Punks Tron soundtrack. The acting was good enough,

Both series are great reads anyways so you can't go wrong :)

It's not that I don't like it, it's perfectly fine, but in an otherwise exceptional comic the art is quite unexceptional. Then again, a more distinguished art-style might have taken away some impact from the story, so whatever, I'm fine with it

Of course my good Sir

I loved the Vader Down event, and the whole Darth Vader run in general, great character and world building with fantastic art

Alright, I can live with weekly reading discussions on Fridays, so here are my reads:

I have no idea why the MCU was and still is so afraid of Magic, seriously, it's not like magic is any less believable than all the other superhero shenanigans

Same here, I still remain optimistic, but I'm disappointed that they went for the boring "rich dude comes back to his city to be a hero" angle when they could have done so much with the mysticism, magic etc…
