I actually prefer the pivot to just the ‘adventures’ on Grand Tour as they ditched reviews part.

Agreed. It was rather pure and car focused at the beginning, but once they turned the owner into a ‘celebrity’ it fell into the real TV drama trap.
I actually think Renner has been given more to do with Hawkeye starting with Ultron. He pep talk to Wanda in the midst of the Ultrons battle was stellar, emotionally, comedicly and supportively. Was a wonderful caring father figure and badass supremely trained human. I thoroughly enjoy Renner in this.
True, but I’ve developed a basic theory of story construction from the Harmonverse (R&M and Community - I’ve watched alot of it as this comedic and narrative style hits perfectly for me). They take the Overly Long Gag concept and enlarge it to the story scale and stretch it out over seasons versus the typical vignette…
Not that I’m aware of.
Yes.
The Latin speaking was cool, but the historical pedant in me cringed audibly at the ‘Pompeii, Italy’ label at the scene’s beginning.
Likely this.
Well, it’s only the first episode, so...more high bureaucracy to come, hopefully.
Owen Wilson did not disappoint. He is appointment TV...always.
Because...that’s the whole point of this website. Getting your eyeballs on this site is the #1 priority. Everything else is a means to that end.
How about a Wes Anderson Marvel movie?
Sure.
My 11yr old innately comedy leaning son choose it for family movie night last Friday and I was worried it was going to be Illumination Studios style ‘comedy’. Once it got going and I saw the comedic tone and direction, I fell in line...then learning it has Lord&Miller DNA in it totally made sense.
And that they went for it, which shows T&J are likely cool people, for reals.
JEJ is clearly a bass. Baritone - think Bing Crosby
John or Hank Green - look them up
But I can’t accept Jennings’ high(er) pitched voice. Not right to my ears as I’m used to Trebek’s smooth baritone.
Agreed. His voice and cadence was good, but his demeanor and delivery was stilted at best. Jennings was good, but his voice is too high pitched and squeaky for me as I’m used to Trebek’s smooth baritone in the role.
She was awesome in Fargo’s second season.
