Our season goal was 4th. Yours was winning the league. We’ve moved forward, you have not

Again, the AVB argument is plain dumb. The league was MUCH stronger this season than at AVB’s time. Anyone in the top 10 could beat anyone else in the top ten. Thats not to say everyone is weaker; its that teams are learning that money is not everything. The reason this was a great season for any neutral was the

I agree, saying that, either way, is really silly

Now playing

And only assholes support Arsenal. And now, for a musical interlude.

You are comparing apples and oranges. The EPL was FAR more level this season than any other, hence it being the most entertaining season ever. Thats a pretty artificial, JV argument.

Finishing above a team whose stadium holds half that of the Emirates (quietest ground in the EPL), and spent considerably less money is quite the accomplishment, yes.

But right here is the point Billy is making: Arsenal supporters consider finishing second, over Spurs, to be a huge deal. And yes, if Spurs had finished above Arsenal, I would be bragging too.

You forget North London! Newcastle now have nothing to play for on Sunday against Spurs, and the toon army will be hostile to their own side. Spurs require just a draw to cancel St. Tottergham’s day. Would be very different if Sunderland had dropped points here.

Totally ok with Spurs “thugging” it up. Make em bleed. Thats the anger and fury that will take them top next season...arsenal’s best attempts at “thugging” anything would be giroud throwing hair gel at hazard

Either way, ledley king, hes only got one knee, and hes STILL better the john terry

This article does not mention Jeremy Lin. I know the playoffs are boring, but could you at least try watching?

I dont get how the “least bad” team can lead the EPL in goals and have conceded the fewest. Also, Spurs beat City 4-1 WITH De Bruyne, so I’m not sure if that argument holds water. Its no wonder Pep will jettson half their squad this summer...they’ve spent a lot of money, have a fantastic striker and winger—but not

Id love to know if bill, greg, or anyone from deadspin and anyone commenting understands my name

Right. Danny Welbeck. He’s one of our own

Spurs goal differnetial is so vast that all of Wilshire’s career goal’s wouldn’t be enough to catch them

I’d actually say Liverpool in some ways lost that. You never want to replay a game you had no reason to lose in the first place. But I expect nothing less from a soccer site run by guys who actually chose to support a team like Arsenal
