So... it’s a manual Salad Shooter. :) I have an *actual* salad shooter (the partner got one as a gift years ago, so...) and yes, it absolutely shreds mozz like a champ, but I’ve never gotten brave enough to try the slicing blade. I always feel like it’ll make the slices far too thick and I won’t be able to properly

One of the videos out there you can *very* briefly see soe light reflected on the line being used to hold up the dummy. It’s likely either a fine black thread (favorite of magicians everywhere) or sanded nylon (rough up the surface so you don’t catch glints)

Shredding the 1 lb ball/block of Galbani is easy. The large holes of a box grater work just fine, and so does a salad shooter with the large size grater cone.

It was. I was at Epcot on a high school band trip in late 1983. I was too cool to buy a stuffed Figment at the gift shop, but my friend did “for his sister.”

“I’ll be the victim!”

only if he keeps the current facial hair.

Philippe’s might (arguably) be the original, but I maintain Cole’s is a better sandwich. Phillipe’s is a better ‘experience’, but if you’re going for the FOOD (and don’t mind paying for it) Cole’s is def. superior.

When I was in LA I was a big fan of “It’s All About the Bread” on Melrose. Fresh, usually WARM sub rolls baked on premises, fresh sliced meats. It was a regular stop if headed into Hollywood.

That super high waist looks like it’s just going to roll every time she sits down or bends over, and the bra/bodice thing looks like it’s held in place with double-sided tape and prayer. I get that ‘fashion’ isn’t always practical or comfortable, but those sacrifices are made in service of appearance. This dress in no

BDH looks just fine as she is, and it’s bullshit that a bunch of creepy old dudes think their outdated opinion of her appearance matters more than the director of the film, who presumably knew what she looked like when he cast her.

Do yourself a favor and do NOT watch Norm’s final netflix special, which he recorded on his computer before his final trip to the hospital. Norm says some regressive shit, and without the crowd going along with him, it doesn’t come off as ‘edgy’, just bitter and mean. And his deadpan style REALLY needs the crowd

Workers? no workers here. Just a bunch of small business owners...

counterpoint: crawfish are also known as crayfish, crawdads, and, most relevantly, mudbugs.

Withering Condescension can be Janeane Garofalo (she was already in *Ratatouille*) or, if they wanna go with the newer model, Aubrey Plaza.

f’real. The Clintons, collectively, are not appreciably better, nor appreciably worse, than any other of the vaguely centrist neolib Democrats that gain ascendancy in the post-Reagan era. Bill was (and is) an uncommonly good communicator. He is a charismatic speaker, much like (though very different from) Obama.

more of a ‘simmering’ take, I think.

I really liked the film (though I don’t think it was the 2nd coming of cinematic sci-fi or anything) but I will always and forever call it DUNC, just from the poster. It’s just too funny.

I will happily show up opening night for Nope 2: Oh, HELL Naw!

That’s why you need the fancy metal straw

You take that back!
