All the mainstream AMC/Regal/Century national theaters in my area are almost entirely those electric recliner seats in some form or other. No need to keep your knees bent or your back upright. You might have to adjust your bifocals down your nose a bit, though...

The 50's Zorro was regularly run on UHF back in the 70's and early 80's in endless reruns, usually as part of a block with The Lone Ranger (and, sometimes, Davy Crockett). He was born in 80, so it’s quite possible for him to have caught it on some weird high-number UHF or early local cable station when he was a

Like musicals. Like Peter Dinklage.

Counterprogramming for the grownups. Smart.

Like ANYTHING is gonna go against Spiderman. As it is, we’ve promised to take the nephew the week AFTER opening week, because I’m not dealing with that sort of crowd...

But will they have a single scene of gratuitous boob shots per episode, that they can easily cut around/have a no-nipple alternate take ready so they can resell the show to network tv like last time?

Deva was definitely WAY ahead of the curve. There’s a lot of fuzzy around what’s ‘first’, but I think we can all agree that between the two of them, there was definitely some weird magic going around with the advent of cheaper video recording getting into the hands of artists OTHER than professional video folks. Trader Joe’s White Cheddar Puffed Corn > Pirate’s Booty

Dalgona is just a korean name for honeycomb toffee. The stamping of the shape and the game are Korean, but the candy itself is well known enough to be origin-less. the word ‘toffee’ is at least as old as the 1820's, and honeycomb toffee has been around just about as long.

.....and we have a winner.

I’m in CA, and we dearly love our Trader Joe’s (Traders Joe?) here, but it makes me very sad that this somehow precludes us from having Aldis. I know the two stores are sort of related and the result of a business partnership split, but damnit, why is it always the kids that suffer in the divorce?

I have a beard. It’s even currently styled as one of the standard ‘evil universe’ goatees (which are actually Van Dykes, and you can tell I’m the evil one because I know that. Also, trilbies are the lame hats. Fedoras are cool)

He also spends time lamenting about The Easter Bell. Rabbits pooping chocolate eggs is one thing, but a flying bell? RIDICULOUS!

> Do you frequently find people sitting on the floor, crying, and eating entire sheet cakes?

That has long been a Frank Miller trope. I dunno if that particular panel is Miller (it doesn’t look ugly enough), but you can see that thing all through his Daredevil, various Batmans (Batmen?), Wolverine, etc.

man, I miss those guys...
